If the ebay unit was sold as fully funtional you should get your money back from them too.  Ebay / paypall usually side with the buyer...

I also put this guide together a few weeks ago and was going to include part numbers but when I looked into it the part numbers were VIN dependant. They probably are all virtually the same but it would have just caused some confusion. http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,52585.0.html
