All Purpose ECOVER lemon okay as an APC ?
« on: September 03, 2011, 11:30:42 am »
I couldn't find the last APC that was recommended for my mini detail next weekend. Can anyone tell me if I can use this product on my GTi to clean before claying and waxing it has Limonene.

Many Thanks

Will be fine  :happy2:

Just make sure it isn't the bleach stuff. The bottles are VERY similar

I use 1:10 for most things eg cleaning the plastic/rubber trim. I use 1:4 but only if stripping down LSP and then use it as a pre-wash.

Yeah but I also de-tar, clay, polish and use a paint cleanser - all of which should definitely strip any LSP!

I use Lime Prime or Lime Prime Lite. Easy to use provided you don't make the mistake I did. Before the first Inters show I went to, machined the car and applied Lime Prime. It said to apply, allow to haze and buff. Which was wrong because it set like rock once hazed. Complete PITA to take off and I gave up because I was so frustrated by it. I now apply a small amount to the panel and then "work it in".

I use autosmart tardis. APC wouldn't remove everything. Claying causes micromarring and swirls so you'd need to polish too.

Just don't drink it. Or leave it on too long. No need to dilute but chuck the MF away after use. If you pour the stuff from the container into say a spray bottle, decant any remaining tardis back into the container and rinse out the bottle, including pumping water through the spray head. Otherwise you'll find Tardis has eaten through the seals!
