Alright guys.

I'm on the hunt for an Edition 30 now and ive just been to see a nice car...

However, in the engine bay when it was running, it seemed to have a couple of like clicking noises from around the front of the engine?

Is this normal? I know on the 18T's its inj the and the vacuum cannister on the drivers inner wing. But im new to the 2 litres!

Also, anything else i needed to look out for? The car in question was DSG, had a new mechatronic valve not so long back, seemed to drive perfect...

The beeping and clicking startled me when I first turned off my engine but it's all normal. 

ECU and Relays etc doing their bussiness

Fuel pump priming. Satnav, if fitted, warming up.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I'd say just the familiar sound of a direct injection engine! Nowt to worry about  :happy2:
