Happy to help you but I'm in East Yorks. Pm me if you fancy a drive oop north!

Use duct tape to mask off any trim you may be concerned about. While you're at it, get a set of decent trim removal tools that won't scratch. If you know your local body shop well, ask if anyone wants a cash job to swap units for you.

Most us us have done this from cold, and the simple answer is as Leonard says, just take your time. It's very easy to do, and if you are steady, won't take more than an hour.

Piece of cake removing and fitting a head unit. I just replaced my RCD300 with a RCD510 last night. I watched several YouTube videos on the subject and it took me half an hour to have it in and working. Bearing in mind I had no trim tools, just used a precision screwdriver (small flat blade) and was uber careful not to mark anything. Pics will be up in my build thread in the next few days.  :happy2:

well that didnt go so well, when taking the top part off with the vent in, the trim parted from the vents and the vents litterally fell to bits..... also lost a little bit of plastic so they will not go back together!!!!

Radio in and working though just now missing half my dash.

Not a happy chappy at the min.

Does anyone know where i can get a top section including the vents, or just the vents?

Thanks
