My car is a gttdi 54 plate with 46000 miles on the clock---had a customer offer me £8000 for my car today

Depends how much you have spent on mods Andy, but for a standard car that price is superb.  :happy2:

I would say thats a great price, I sold my 04 plate completely standard in May with 59k miles on it for £6,000

All depends how much it's worth to you?!
