MK6 DASH
« on: September 07, 2011, 09:39:02 am »
guys i know this is mainly mk5's here but one of the lassies in work is complaining there is a crackle noise coming from her head unit in her mk6.
its a single din unit but does this involve a centre console strip like the mk5's and if so has anyone got a guide. cheers

The trim round the outside of the headunit just leavers off and you can then get the bolts holding it in.
Very simple.

Its not like the mk5 were you have to take the top vent and air vents out its very simple.

dunno if this is a daft question but would by old mp3 unit that i got in my mk5gti fit it.
hers is just a basic radio with no mp3 function. my old ones just the normal double din you get.

Yes it will fit and work in the Mk6, but you won't get a display in the cluster for the Radio station (if the car has a cluster that can support this).
