I see this the other day, not very nice at all, especially as he got thrown fromthe vehicle..

On a side note I hope the driver had insurence tho as shutting the track and having the air ambulance isn't cheap going by the pricelist I see the other year

Oops, sorry, didn't open it.

There's been suggestion he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. I sincerely hope that wasn't the case.

I was thinking the same as I can't see the seatbelt failing but I hope that'd not the case

.
Tragic, but:

Quote
"having raced the ring and visited there quite a few times now i know exactly why Jon wanted to race there - - -everyone there knows the risks but everyone works together almost like a family - - - -Jon's loss is a sad one and he will be missed by many, if there is any comfort to be given then let it be that Jon passed away doing exactly what he enjoyed and he went very quickly with little pain or suffering - - - RIP Jon"

...."raced".... Racing is what you should never be doing on a TF day at the Ring. It's such attitudes which exposes you to such accidents.

I feel for his family.

Too right, I've narrowly avoided some right muppets whenver I've been around there... of particular note was once a few years ago I was going 'round some tight right hander, hand my eyes following through the curve, then glanced to my left, there was a biker about three feet from my front wing overtaking me 'round the outside  :stupid: feller nearly loses it on the exit and then rides off with a wave at me, absolutely nuts.
