Quote from: Superchips
Your Stage 2 Superchip remap is ready to download

 :driver:

Lets see what difference it makes when I get home! They've sent me a new Stage 2 map from what I can understand, so this should iron the creases out once and all.

Excellent service too!

....I would insist that Superchips pay JKM (they'll probably do it with credits as JKM are an official agent) to give you a free dyno session to see how things improve. Really! I would not let SC getaway with it, yet again! There are far too many cases reported of SC delivering the wrong map.

I might send them an email to request it

Not sure if they will though, but I guess its worth a pop

Oh yes absolutely - like i was saying the other day, the only real way to see what performance you are truly getting is to be RR'd

I also questioned with them if I was on the stock map, and he said that as the counter hadn't reset, the map wasn't finalised, therefore I was running a full stock map - So to be fair, 248 on a stock map with a TBE is somewhat impressive.

....I'd tone your email differently than just a 'request' - They have both inconvenienced you and cost you. I would be very dissatisfied and say you expect some meaningful gesture of recompense.

Hmm but your logged maf mass intake wasn't in keeping with a stock setup soo...

I had a look at my June graph and my recent graph of Saturday. Interestingly they are virtually identical in shape up to 5,500 then the recent dyno shows the current, non twintercooler graph extending nicely to 6,500+

The confusing thing is if you lay over one on top of the other the axis is almost prefect but up by 15-20hp in June right from 3,000 rpm to 5,500 I think the first runs in June were too high ?

I'll post a piccy to show later  :stupid:

@bacillus - I know - it was like a hybrid stage something and stock combined.

These RRs are so complicated!

Did you remap and fit the exhaust at the same time? Im wondering how your bum dyno wasn't horribly disappointed when you made the changes, if you really are running a full stock map.

The numbers don't stack up - looks to me like you got an odd hybrid map, and the supplier has defaulted to saying you had a stock map. If you've now got a full fat map I there ought to be a wiff of vapourised rubber evident this evening!  :driver: :driver:

Nope. Exhaust was a few weeks before the map (i think) though I can't be 100% on that as my memory is terrible lol

That was my thoughts - its a really odd hybrid like a stage one and a stock mixed together and made some kind of bluefin/vw love child

Haha yeah vapourised will be the word!! Steves fixed his too by the sound of things so its a good day for super chips all round atm!

Would be interesting to see how your car clobbers mine now it should be sorted. Hopefully yours will make mine look like an invalid carriage - stg1 k03 is okay as a daily, but still bloody slow!

Funny you've always said you've never had an issue breaking traction, I fear this might change after this evening!  :signLOL:
