New owner in the Midlands
« on: September 11, 2011, 09:48:04 am »
Hi all,

We are making our first foray in VW ownership on Friday, when we pick up our 2005 GTI. Black, 64000 miles, with Xenons, tan leather interior, sat nav, winter pack and sunroof. We had looked at 8 cars, and while this is no means concours, its very, very clean. Looking forward to getting my grubby mitts on it!

Pics will follow as soon as I've got it home and cleaned up!

Near enough, Hednesford! Big Wolves fan, for my sins! Yes , it's a Mark 5, and the first truly modern car we've owned. I also have a 20 year old MX-5...... :pomppomp:

Hi Mark,

Glad to see you on here, shame about the username though  :P

We'll have to do a midlands convoy to some shows. Looking forward to some pics of the Golf, just let us know if you want a hand with anything.

Hi Al,

Just keeping it standard for the time being, it'll comfortably be the quickest car we've owned, so we'll leave it as VW intended for a while. Although I have ordered the seat handle inserts.......
