Photo of fuse board - GTTdi
« on: September 12, 2011, 09:31:35 am »
Hi guys,

Bit of a long shot but I was wondering if someone could sort me out a photo of a mk5 fuse box, both the engine bay and in car one. The car needs to be fully functioning (not a blank fuse board). I have used a diagram online and it does not appear to be compatible with my car as it says there should be fuses in slots that are not used in my car (blank slot, no connectors).

Its a long story as to why I need this but in a nutshell I went to change the stereo, blew a fuse, replaced from an 'unused' one, got in a tizz and now the car does everything except start, cranks etc. So it probably something I have managed to funk up somewhere. I like the idea of a photo because I would trust it more than a diagram!

My car is a 2004 mk5 GTTdi 140 manual, I know there are a few diesels owners on here.....

Thanks for that Andy, that's really helpful!

I am right in thinking my fuse board should look identical?

Also have you got one of the onboard fuse boardby the drivers door too?

I.have the leaflet for the onboard one which appears to be all correct, long story cut short I funded about with the fuse board after blowing one and have lost track of what was changed...

It depends on what year your car is? there is differences between an early Gt 04-05 then 06-07 where different and from 08 onwards where different.

Indeed, the aim is to make sure they are correct for the main systems which will be the same
