Which Clay lube ?
« on: September 11, 2011, 09:50:41 pm »
I was just wondering if you guys use specific clay lube, quick detailer or shampoo in a bottle ?

Ive got some valet pro poly clay to try which can be used with just water, so i was thinking about saving some money and just using the water shampoo mix or meguires QD

What do you reccon ?

In my experiance you get out what you put in. So I would spend a few ££ and buy a proper set. I love Autoglym products.  Autoglym shampoo - clay + lube  - ultra deep shine - and HD wax. Gives me superb results. All after a good old snow foam. :happy2:

I use born slippy for clay lube but I love megs quik detailer. No smearing/mess like last touch and qd+ seem to leave.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I just used water with that valet pro clay, seemed to work fine but you need to really drench the panels.

just started to get into detailing or trying just to improve the body work on my car as only just got it.  I would recommend the auto glym quick detailer as a lube. First time this saturday i used it and its fantastic made such a difference takes ages though :surprised:.

I wasnt happy witht the meguirs set up seems not as good of a finish shame really but imo i think too much fancy wrapping maybe just me though.
