Some lovely watches in this thread! 

Here's mine and Mrs Beddie's wristwear, modest collection compared to some and all quartz movement but working up to an auto or 2 each

Yeah i'd definitely have to invest in a winder box as i can't wear a nice watch for work as it has to be 100% non conductive material, auto would only be on my wrist the odd evening and at weekends so i'd probably get fed up of setting the time!

Yeah. Its a shame they dont do a automatic "relay" watch, like the seiko quartz watches. You can leave them for 4 years, then shake it and it set its self back to the right time.

That's what I have (an SMA189, I think). Cheap AND accurate, what more could you ask for?

Exactly. Mine kept impeccable time, and very reasonably priced like you say.

It is a brilliant feature.  Infact i need to get some links put back in that watch so i can wear it again (SWMBO stole it and got links removed)

I bought mine on a whim. Saw it in a shop window marked down from £500 to £200 and thought "That seems too good a bargain to miss". I'd never have bought it at 500 nicker, so the money spent by others here on watches timepieces blows my tiny mind!
