Wipers and plastic door trim
« on: September 15, 2011, 09:22:07 am »
Two in one question.

First of all the actual wipers, not the blades. These have faded quite a bit on a 5 year car. How can I bring back that black sheen?

Secondly, I have a Tornado Red GTi. There is a plastic red strip going across fron and rear doors. When I wax do I keep the wax off these and use something like Auto Glym bumper care?

Many thanks,
C

Do you mean the door strips? If it's painted, then treat it like rest of the painted surfaces, so yes can wax.

As for wipers, same as for black plastic trim - all purpose cleaner and trim dressing of your choice.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
