No AM stations on RNS510..
« on: September 15, 2011, 09:50:19 pm »
So, I've just installed an RNS510, so far no issues apart from the fact that I can't seem to be able to tune into anything on AM, so no talksport, radio 5 etc..my wife is overjoyed, I'm not so. Has anyone encountered this before?

One of the aerial connectors is dis-connected on the back.  Or if they are both connected, swap them over.

Ahh I noticed the other day I couldn't get 5 live on.  Also kerrang hasn't worked for ages.  100% they just need swapping round?

Cheers

Yup, def just needing swapped over. I just fitted a RCD510 on Monday and Double checked before screwing everything in place. Had to swap mine over to get AM not that I ever use it.

Yeah, I'm doing the switch tomorrow..Kerrang is crystal clear for me..where are you based? You might be out of the transmission area.

I've got an RCD300 but have the sam problem. No AM only FM. Had a look at the back a few months ago but I'm sure on the RCD300 the plugs can only be connected correctly as both are sort of fused together. Any ideas on what my problem might be?

Telford.  Funny thing was it was fine for years and suddenly I lost it over night
