Leicester City FC - Tickets
« on: September 13, 2011, 10:53:22 pm »
I was/(am) a big Rushden & Diamonds fan and some of you will be aware of the awful plight of my club in the last few months which has been a football-emotion rollercoaster in all fairness.

As a result Rushden cease to exist and we've got a phoenix club that's starting from the ground up again and currently they compete at U18 level on Thursday nights.
That leaves me free to go to a few other local clubs on Saturdays and I was looking at the Leicester v Brighton match this Saturday (17/09) to go and watch.

Can I turn up and pay at the gate at the Walkers or are league games like this one traditionally 'all ticket'? Even if they are, will there be a general sale on match day where I can buy tickets on the day but before kick off?

I know there's particularly a few Forest and Derby fans around the forum so appreciate any pointers around Championship club tickets. I plan to visit the City Ground too this season - It's simply been a while since I've turned up to see a football league game    :sad1:  :stupid:

Thanks.
Pete

Should be okay just turning up, unless its a top game or derby, and even then i cant really see it being sold out in championship so should be okay getting ticket at the ground.

Im a birmingham city fan and although i get tickets beforehand to save queueing im pretty sure there;s always tickets available at the door so to speak.  :happy2:

Ta fella.

Would I need to get them at the ticket office pre-kick-off then hit the turnstiles?
I presume I can't literally 'pay at the turnstile' at that level?

I'm used to the conference remember

Yeah should be a ticket office located somewhere at the ground, sometimes inside the club shop. But yeah will have to get ticket then go turnstiles.

Im Palace fan so do be a favour and spit on the Brighton seaweed for me please  :happy2:

As others have said, you should be fine just turning up on the day and going box office. Leicester certainly dont sell out their ground.

Im also a Birmingham City fan, you can just rock up on the day and buy a ticket from the ticket office.

OR

Buy online.

You can also nip to the stadium and club shop etc.

Just have a look on their website.

Cheers Alan & Dave.

Looks like I'm holding out for Posh v Donny Rovers now in early October for my next 'bigger' game.  :signLOL: @ the hate for Brighton.

Could you do that for your time in the Premiership too Dave, or is that a different story?
I understand 'general sale' rules are slightly different there...

Very cool.

I always thought even the non top 4 Prem clubs ran a closed shop and ticket community members only could buy tickets late on match day?
If there's still a true 'general sale' on then that opens my options for watching different club games each week  :happy2:
