so not bi-xenon (bi meaning 2) cheap way of setting things up, also wondered why side bulb was lower next to indicator bulb

All the VW's Bi-Xenon's work this way and work really well!

Xenons are a must have option. Not only are they uber bright. But they also change the cosmetic appearance of the car completely. Congrats on the new motor. Pics asap please.
