Is this possible?

Hi Guys,

I've done a search but, Haven't seen anything regarding my query? I was just wondering if it was possible to do a 4 Wheel Drive conversion on the Ed30? And, if it is possible what would I need to do so? I was considering getting a new Car but I've been through so much to get this Car, spent quite a bit on it and, Haven't got the money to buy a new car! So this is the route I want to go down along with A BIG TURBO and, my Diff!

So, if anyone has info to assist me I'd be very greatful  :happy2:!

You planning on keeping the engine or swapping out for an R32 block? Would imagine it's a big job as iirc the R32 has a different floor at the back to accomodate the rear diff so you'd spend silly money just to have that done

Na, not planning to go off road,  :signLOL:! I'm just looking at a Big Turbo and, going really far with the build so, was thinking 4WD would accommodate the Power better than FWD... Wouldn't?

Be better off starting with an R32 / 4motion and transplanting a 2.0T into it I'd have thought?

Or buy an S3...

Agreed.  Would be cheaper to twin scroll turbo an R32 though and that would be mighty mighty fast!

Hmm, wouldn't even hazard a guess at cost. Have a read through this, not strictly a GTI but should give you a few pointers

I know. But, as mentioned in my 1st post I don't have money to change my Car and, didn't think that the transplate would be that expensive!?
