Heavyd - that is pretty straightforward to repair.
Jim at JKM did mine as they cracked and it looked as good as new when he finished.

Yup welded. The actual tails are 2 concentric pipes that are filled smoothed and polished.

They look nice. Are they much bigger than the OEM pipes?

Is it much louder too?

I would probably cut them off, and get some of the removable types.  But the bottom line is they should not crack.  I think the profile makes the weld area very thin and brittle.

What benefit does the shallower back box give? Can the normal one be seen from behind the car?
Standard: Rear parking sensors, Parrot Bluetooth
Retro fitted: MFSW buttons, RCD510, Boot pop, Black Monza II, Xenons, Audi jacking points, open fog light grills.

The Backbox on my Ed30 can be seen by about 20% showing below the rear bumper on the ed30, not alot but some people are more fussy, and prefer not to see it.

Im a bit of a magpie and like shiny things on show...i would safely say there would be zero difference in performance over the shallow version.Perhaps less air drag under the car for Race variants...

I will post a pic if you want later..

Thought i had seen a few R32's with slash cut milly's on but when i rang AMD for a price and to see if i could get that style they said milltek only do rolled tips now on their systems

My current non-res milly system has the big back box and i'd prefer a shallower box or even go for the blue flame version which doesn't have one

Other option apparently is to get just the tips for about £60~ and get them bolted onto my current system.........  :rolleye:

Thats how dealer can tell if a car is remapped you know, if it requests 280mb of boost at idle and it is reading 1080mb, its producing an extra 0.8bar of boost at idle, so its definetly remapped! and he didnt believe  there is such a thing as atmospheric pressure
Forgot to mention the other one Dave, there isnt any overboost at all, we checked, but our diagnostics only measure up to 2100rpm, I'm sure the K04 isnt even spinning at 2100rpm
I'm in for some fun in the morning when I go to pick my car up arent I :popcornsoda:
