Odd because mine makes a noise but it still pulls fine. These cars seem to be very sensitive.

It's not just a a noise though, you can feel it through the pull of the car through the revs, it's on/off/on/off/on as it's trying to sort out the boost...

Rich. The noise you hear is normal and is boost modulation via the N249 (DV)

The N75 is the wastegate so it would have an effect as E30Dom had.
