Sorry I know no better..! I have just bought a rcd510 from a 2009 passat and i have a 2007gti i have read about battery drain, will i have any problems with this ? I had a rcd300 in the car. Plus how easy is it to swap them over ?

you probably will be ok, if you have vag-com you can scan the car to see which version is installed. Some K versions will drain so L or above you will have no issues
