Dismantling a MK 5 airbag/airbag cover

Anyone know how i dismantle the airbag from the cover and can i reuse the airbag in a mk 6 airbagcover??

Jake when you have the airbag in front of you, you'll notice 4 bolts which you need to undo once they are off the metal plate will come off with a bit of wiggling not you Jake the airbag.

The airbag should go back unto the mk6 one has they are roughly the same shape.

I had my eye set on the 4 bolts but was not sure that i would not get away with removing them without getting 8 springs in my face

The springs are not tensioned so they'll be non in your face mate just take the wiring loom off before you start and make sure you know where they go back on.

How much is a part of the airbag and how much is a part of the cover. Asi plan to buy a mk 6 cover and fit the airbag in
