bigger company's employees are able to purchase it for like £9, you need to speak to your i.t/HR departments.

You can also use open office which is free and thunderbird as your mail program which is free.

Thats the thing, bigger companies tend to use OVL, smaller tend to buy OEM when they get a new PC and cant benefit from this - OEM being a fair bit cheaper.

As ed said above. Open office is good if you want a free program. Does all the stuff microsoft version does.

I wish it was able to buy on behalf of others but unfortunately i can't so i suppose it is a bit of a boast.  :smiley:

As ed said above. Open office is good if you want a free program. Does all the stuff microsoft version does.

If i am honest Open Office is in most respects betters than MS Office. THe main advantage is that it is less fluffy. Functionality wise it is all there.
