Clean it with fairy liquid solution quite strong then use some good quality leather feed  :happy2:

I use Gliptone leather cleaner followed by Gliptone leather conditioner which feeds the leather 9it's a skin don't forget), this helps to stop the cracking due to it drying out

Does a GTI really need leather feed? I didn't think it was real leather...

Leather conditioner does nothing to vw
Leather because of a coating on it so it's a waste of
Time

Don't do any of those!! Fairy? Really????

And leather feed? For what, to feed the leather? That just doesn't happen. The leather won't absorb anything. Any feeds or conditioners will just sit on the surface and make it worse in the long run.

VW leather is coated in plastic. Any "feed" will just sit on top of this plastic layer and won't reach the leather. A leather cleaner would be fine, as would dilute APC (1:10).

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Good / Bad not sure, but with it being plastic I tend to use baby-wipes.......

It seems to work very well. Takes the dirt off/out and leave s nice clean matt finish.......

I didn't realise it had a plastic coating on it tbh. In that case, not feed because it won't do anything as said....

Please please don't use baby wipes or apc either. I must admit i have in the past used apc but it's far from ideal!

What else can be used instead of APC? Other than Swissvax stuff?

just some decent dedicated leather cleaner. I sell my own kit (not Swissvax) that includes a leather cleaner, leather cleaner foaming dispenser bottle, leather cleaning sponge, protectant, applicator pad and 2x micro fibre cloths, for £40. Its great stuff, the same as I use in my details and will see you right for years ;)

Having bought one of Jay's kits i will post up my findings once it arrives as the leather on my drivers seat is a bit shiny. However i've done 7.5k miles in 3 months so it's had a fair bit of Arse shining

Hopefully it will arrive today so that i can it over the weekend :happy2:
