Octavia VRS 2.0 TFSi
« on: September 23, 2011, 09:24:36 am »
Hi All,

Here is my Octavia. I planned to get something sensible that I would leave alone after having a Saxo VTS track car for a daily :stupid:

Things have moved on a bit though and the slippery slope is underway. It now has a Shark Performance Stage 1 remap with an Evoms intake and a BSH PCV revamp.

To go on soon is a Milltek system and a set of Autotech HPFP internals then another trip to Shark Performance.

I am also going to fit a Walk kit and lead it as that because I use it everyday and want to retain a bit of comfort.

My little old saxo

My lovely golf. She had to go when she started spending all my money

Digging up an old thread :ashamed: I should probably make more of an effort.

I just re-read the first post about leaving it alone  :surprised:

The car is booked in today to have some AP coilovers fitted  :jumpmove:

Here is a pic of how it stands now and one will be up once they are on later. I may have also accidentaly purchased a set of S3 brakes too, which will be being fitted this time rather than selling like the R32 ones I had

Pics below of car on ap coilovers. As well as small delivery that arrived 5mins ago....

Saxo was great as track car. With 306 gti brakes, strut brace and bolstering suspension. It was a bit of a pig with a harness and a bucket for a daily driver though :)

It was good on a short twisty track but ran out of legs on the straight.

How you finding the coilovers?

I had the APs on Octavia.  Found them to be awesome when i was in germany and mainland europe.  When i moved back to the UK i took them off really quickly as it felt really crashy on the roads around medway, Kent.  Almost putme off buying coilovers again

i'm enjoying them so far, but only got fitted yesterday.

I drive down lots of lanes in rural kent so have done a few miles and dont really think they are too bad.

My saxo on Bilsteins and vento on gaz coilovers were worse.

Even if I wasnt enjoying them I would lie through my teeth to save grief off the wife

But seriously they arent bad at all. I could wind them down a lot more, but will run with them for a bit and see :driver:

I was going to fit springs, but with the car at 60k i thought I would just get it all done and be done with it. Plus I can go lower if I want to.
