« on: September 29, 2011, 02:31:11 pm »
I've had the door of today and still no joy!! All the speakers in the car work fine, appart from the ONE large speaker in the drivers door. Here is a pic.....does the wiring look correct? two cables and in the correct positions?

I thought all 3 speakers were linked, lose one lose them all? any ideas please

if your car is old 2004/2005 you will have the triangular cross over, so they all link through that.

like this

And my wiring is the same as yours, if you have a volt meter check if you are getting anything from the cross over.

I know you dont have VCDS but if you can get some help you can do a test of all speakers, if not then I might know someone with some working OEM speakers and cross overs

Check the volts coming to the speaker?

Did not check, but does the larger speaker have a seperate feed from the cross-over? or do they all come out of one....and splitt along the harness?

lol < go on, price?

VCDS will rest amps/volts to each speaker to?

Im sure there is a output test from the radio that allows it to tone test each speaker.  The cross over has 8 wires into it, 2 from the stereo and then two out to each of the 3 speakers. and another lot for speaker monitoring.

will pm you about it.
