Valve Springs
« on: September 30, 2011, 10:48:27 pm »
Hi Guys - done a bit of reading on this forum and saw that the valve springs have been the cause of a few issues on some cars.  Can anyone tell me if my MY08 Ed30 with a BYD engine could have the incorrect valce springs fitted... and if so is there any simple way of finding out?

quite possibly does, think mine does.

no, no simple way accept will misfire under load after 5000 rpm - apparently if you get a good, free flowing tbe this could solve it so book in for a custom exhaust and hey presto!

Diamond Black Pearl Edition 30, still going strong but now back to Stg 1

Well that's good and bad news... as I have had misfires in the 5000-6000 rpm range but also had a TBE from BCS fitted so from what you say I should be OK... was enquiring as I am planning on getting an ITG intake to compliment the TBE and then stepping up to Stage 2 with REVO
