As my new golf is still standard I thought I'd jump on this old thread. Can any one you spot the theme?


My second car after the first one never quite made it on the road!


Brought this from the ol' man cheap.


Built this one.


First car I had to borrow money for!


This Mondie was too cheap to turn down. High miles from a rep at work.


I found this in a customers garage looking a bit tatty so offered him a grand and spent about another 2 on it. Still the best car I've driven :driver:


Another wreck I restored. A really underrated car.


My last Ford before I went VW. (If you don't count the wifes)


My newest toy!

I had a couple of of run-arounds whilst working on some of these. Question is, will I ever go back now I have a Golf?

In my 10 years of driving...

2001 - 2002 Nissan Micra 988cc (in gold!)
2002 - 2004 Ford Escort Encore 1.3
2004 - 2006 Peugeot 106 Gti (what a go-cart!)
2006 - 2010 MkIV .:R32 (which became the first ever JBS stage II turbo, running 475bhp - would never have sold it but a change in personal circumstances meant it had to go).
2010 - 2011 Ford Focus 1.8LX (Back to reality hey?!)
2011 - (present) MkV GTI (ah, back where I belong... now where's that modding list gone...)

i know im only 20 but had some nice cars already :)

First car (17): 2005 MK1.5 1.8 Zetec Edge, Ford focus. Machine silver (Very rare)
Mods: Wietec  coilovers (very low), Inovit alloys, Miltek cat back with sports cat, Carbon induction kit, debadged grill, angle eyes, black rear lights, clear indicators.

Second car (18): 2005 BMW Z4 3.0i SE, Grey roadster.
Mods: Standard.

Third car (19): 2003 BMW Carbon Black M3 vert
Mods: Kenwood Head unit.

Forth car (20): 2006 VW MKV GTI, Silver.
Mods: TBE blueflame BCS exhaust (Decat + 1 silencer removed!), R32 front brakes (not yet fitted), AP coilovers, Forge blow off valve.


May upload pictures if i get time.

First car was a saxo vtr, then moved onto a cammed vts 160bhp.
First proper car was my ibiza cupra which got to about 250bhp. Probably still the lowest mileage one as my mate now owns it and still only got 32k on clocks.



Sold that and moved onto Astra 888 No. 007/100


Swapped the Astra when i got bored of diesel power for a 350bhp RS.


Sold the RS when started using car more for work and running costs become stupid. Ended up with happy compromise of mk5 golf gti  :happy2:

Nice varied selections of cars and bikes here.  :smiley:

I've had a few cars in the past, havnt got any pics to hand of the old ones!

Only my Bora, which up until i got my Edition 30 last week was my pride and joy! Now its back on standard wheels, raised ride height and is being used as a daily!

This is what it looked like in the summer anyway, proper low on genuine Sport Design Porsche wheels, 9" on the front and 10" on the back...
