Heres a sample of the better ones!

Mini 1380 : All the bits n pieces , rebuilt and resprayed by me and my dad. Labour of love for a long time. highly modified
Mk2 8V GTI : Amazing car , several track days , numerous 1/4 miles , original clutch still at 120k when I sold it. Few tweaks but no engine mods
Fiat Coupe 20VT : whoosh , vastly underestimated cars , huge £/performance , damn exhaust manifolds! kept it rel std too!
Mini Cooper S : 230bhp by GTT tuning , high spec car and great fun , 18 inch Comp MO's for the silly cartoon look
CBR 600 RR : oh yeah , passed bike test in 1 month , then bought this ........... nothing in the car world comes close to a bike. Written off when I hit diesel !!!!!
BMW E46 M3 : had this as well as the bike at one point lol. My pride and joy and bit a bit of a 'dream car' Everything they say and more.

now Edition 30

[note the stunning Integrale EVO2 and the MR2 Turbo are not mine , but awesome cars my friends have]

Past cars: '84 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe [2.3L SOHC turbo, 145hp/190trq] 5MT, '88 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe [2.3L SOHC turbo/intercooled, 190hp/240trq] 5MT, '99 Ford Taurus SHO [3.4L DOHC V8, 235hp/230trq] 4AT, and my daily driver...... '01 Ford Escort ZX2 [2.0L DOHC, 130hp/127trq] 5MT.  I'm sure some of you guys know about the Zetec engines, that's what this has.  It has a normal Zetec with VCT on the exhaust camshaft, no need for an EGR on this engine!  It was rated at 130hp stock, but with my Superchips handheld flasher, cai & catback, plus the underdrive pulley, I'm close to 150hp [at the crank].

Euro 'ZETEC' lettering on the trunk... err, 'boot'.

Neuspeed P-Flow, PIAA PIY fogs/XW ftps, In.Pro smoked mirror lenses, smoked bumper lenses, Golf GT centers/R-Line fog grille conversion, removed GTI emblems, EU GTI lip, NSP boost gauge kit, CC switch, EU .:R32 tails.

2001 Ford ZX2: SF, 5MT; 2.0L 16V Zetec w/VCT.

Nice pics though, where were they taken? Looks like a rally stage!

Haha, that's what I sometimes use it for!  It's an access road to the old Lock 12 canal lock site on the Susquehanna River in York County.  Plenty of ups & downs, lefts & rights and don't forget about the !caution! JUMP. :driver:

Some of the cars in this thread make me drool like mad!  You guys shouldn't post any more pics up, I'll be very likely to shortout my laptop!

It's hard to believe that you guys drive around in your inexpensive (compared with us anyway) huge 10 litre V8's getting all jealous of us with our small 4 pot euro boxes!

Oh trust me, SUVs & large trucks have been tanking since the early summer due to the gas [petrol for you I suppose!] price increases.  I can happily say my little ZX2 has gotten me a best average of 45.98mpg [238.8 miles, 5.21 gallons of 89 octane, with a 10% mix of ethanol] during the summer.  The one truck I drive at work [Ford F250 4x4 crew cab] has a 6.8L sohc V10 and a six speed manual, yuck.

I'd really like to have 2 VW models that I've seen over there that we don't get in the US; a MKV Golf GT TDI 170 4Motion & the Polo BlueMotion.  Well since I own an Escort, a Cossie wouldn't hurt either! The closest we got to a Cossie was the Merkur XR4Ti [based on the Ford Sierra], but it used a similar 2.3L to the units in my old Turbo Coupes [non-intercooled, 175hp].  We never had an AWD Escort over here.

Hi all, I'm new here....I think !

Well, here's a quick list of the car's I've owned, thus far.

1st ever car...a Pug 306 1.9 TD. Did 199k miles before it finally blew up. (not actual picture)

2nd and 3rd car's were both Mk4 Golf GT TDI's - 110bhp and 130bhp respectively. Fully loaded, great cruisers but not very fun to drive. I think the QE2 was better around corners.  :happy2:

4th car:  A 2003 BMW 330d Sport Saloon. Fantastic fantastic car. Got too excited on a round about one winters day and crashed it :(

5th Car: replaced car no.4 with another BMW - 330cd sport - great looking car. Had it re-mapped to 275bhp and 420Ib ft of torque - left most things in it's wake. Utterly brilliant motor. Sold it after doing nearly 50k miles on it in just under 2 years...

6th car: bought this little pocket rocket to scale some costs, due to some investments: Brilliant little car. 52mpg and 0-60 in a shade over 7 seconds.

and finally, my current car.  Love it to bits...just wish it had a little more power. That will soon be rectified.
