« on: September 30, 2011, 10:15:34 am »

Ive recently got rid of my 400bhp Evo 6 and bought an 07 Ed30 3dr in black and have to admit im very impressed!!!

Plans for the golf are stage 2 with supporting brakes and suspension!

Ill be starting up a build thread and sticking my head in threads and groups buys and all the usual malarky but for now just introducing myself  :happy2:

The evo saw alot of mods so it would be rude to not let the golf get some goodies!! And by the looks of it they respond well to certain tuning!

Is there ever regional meets or drives out in good weather on this forum?

I'll get some pics up over the weekend of both cars, got none of the golf at the mo.

The golfs a manual, completely standard mod wise at the mo, has quite a spec from the factory tho!

Welcome mate  :happy2:

There has been quite a few Evo owners on here that made the switch to the ED30. Certainly not as bonkers as the EVO, but with the right mods they can certainly keep the juices flowing without costing the earth to run..

The evos are great cars but the killer in today's climate is the fact of petrol, on a civilised run out seeing no positive boost the highest mpg I got in 18months was 21, lowest was 12mpg  :driver:

The golf I love, had a blue mk1 golf as my first car so some have said I've just returned home
