« on: October 01, 2011, 04:50:55 pm »
Just wondered if there was anyone running a BIG turbo tdi, GTB2056 or GTB2260. Would be interested if on a cr, but go info if on any tdi.

Cheers,

Scott

Thanks, but I believe his car is a pd, pushed much harder than i plan... Its just Im thinking about getting a 170 turbo and just want to make sure that its the correct option. All the big turbo tdi ive seen seem to have no bottom end, less than my 140 to approx 2500-3000 then the big turbos let rip. Not how I want to drive, but because they have bigger exhaust sides to the turbo's they in theory should give more mpg on the motorway?

I have a 140pd with the GT1756 hybrid CR turbo @ the moment its pushing 201bhp and 325lbft on RSTuning map more to come once the clutch is uprated.

It feels very good to drive low down and once in the turbo it just pulls, even at over 4k revs its still strong before changing gears the car still drives very much like OEM.

And the best thing it will return better MPG than OEM  a recent trip to Sheffield returned 59mpg
