Oil ?

I know this has been asked many times but I picked up some castrol edge fully synthetic 5w-40 from costcos yesterday as my service light came on it says it's for Vw and is 502 and 505 spec, I've serviced it before but can't remember if I used this or 5w-30  :laugh: is the 5w-30 the one to go for ? Car is jack up with oil drained and filter off ! Do I need to shoot to halfrauds and get ripped off ??

Castrol edge 5 30 is what I use in my tfsi Cupra  :happy2:

sometimes this stuff goes stupidly cheap at Tesco and Asda and the like - last time i think I got 8L for about £30 or something silly.

Asda have it online but no good with car jacked up with no oil in  :sad1: on my way back from halfrauds £46:99 lighter, good old company fuel card brought me the 1 litre extra i needed

i use mobil esp formula 1 5-30w fully synthetic long life oil  :happy2: but castrol is just as good
