Excellent review as usual - I particularly think that the criteria you list for deciding which remap will be very helpful to people. :happy2:

Are you the guy who accidentally popped their car into reverse at the start line at Santa Pod? (Hence TC's comment)

illyun:
That figure for the standard Ed30 seems very high at 255 bhp... Mine only made 227bhp on JKMs dyno along with most of the other standard Ed30s on there.

I saw a standard one make 265bhp at Stealth Racing and their rollers are known for being pretty accurate.

cant believe you would think that was me RR , Im hurt  :wink: :grin:. No it wasnt, TC is referring to my poor times at the runs in Jan (15 sec in a 300bhp car is pants..) , he enjoys nothing more than taking the mickey.......

@illyun
Thats why I stated relative hp increase as opposed to actual numbers as gospel. From the data on this forum and others I expect 250 bhp flywheel at most rollers for std ED30 (+/- 10 hp dependent on fuel type used +conditions)
and 230 for JKM rollers. Therefore if I ran my car at JKM I would expect to see 290bhp  :happy2: as the remapped figure.

Interestingly I asked APR about my dyno plot and it seems the super high torque figure peak can be induced by the way the load is applied to the rollers......

KRL:
Fantastic review.  Good work  :happy2:
