...And APR!

....Yes, I forgot! Now edited  :happy2:

Just don't go for the APR exhaust

....Well, I don't need to.

It'll be good to experience your exhaust properly at next weekend's meet. I won't have my new Milltek yet though.

New Milltek.............?!!!?!!  :driver: :driver: :driver:

Yes of course, I can take you out in the car to properly hear it - I've promised that for a while now but yet to get the chance! Hopefully your dislike for the APR sound will change a bit once you hear it from inside the car!

I've got a ChippedUK ST3 on mine. No problems with it or ChippedUK myself but I've heard stories.
The car drives fine, I doubt very much it's as powerful as some re-maps having had plenty of others over the years, but it's smooth and does the job.
I admit I only got mine because they wanted a mk5 guinea pig so it was much cheapness but I don't have any complaints.

There are plenty of tuners out there with good reputations, my advice would be to see which one is doing the best deal when you've got the cash to hand.
I've used REVO, UPsolute and AmD in the past with no problems and they all do what they are supposed to.  :happy2:

i went for an MRC custom map from MRC tuning near oxford - they do have experience tuning ED30's but are best known for Tuning RS4's, one of the guys who works there has a 700bhp RS4, when i was down there they also had a ED30 running 390bhp

i couldnt recommend them highly enough, and since its a custom map they do basicly a free diagnostic before they apply the map to make sure there are no existing problems.

my car is a normal GTI and the results have been staggering

if your not miles away from oxford / Birmingham - i would definitley give me them a visit.  im sure you wont be dissapointed with REVO but i would have thought going for a custom map would be better - http://www.mrctuning.com/products.php?do=engine&brand=VW&model=Golf%20Mk5

Candy white GTI, MRC tuning Remap - the rest will remain standard...
