I have been reading about this over the last day or 2. There is a big stink over it because of the construction work going on without proper notification or signs.

Found this yesterday, this guys makes a few good points.

Last weekend at the Ring was chaos with this bump the icing on the cake...
Roadworks were extremely badly signed with next to no warning on one of the fastest parts of the track, it's a wonder it wasnt worse tbh  :fighting:
Most of our gang were stuck on track right behind the big crash and all had to anchor on from 100+ to avoid it...

I was in the middle of it, along with a few others - steaming into that lot doing 3 figures up Kesselchen was a proper brown trouser moment.

Was 2 crashes really..

White british M3 was missing a front end, its nearside wheel along with half a strut and the wishbones snapped like twigs was 100 meters down the road, he'd gone for the grass as he couldn't scrub the speed off and just lost everything. VX220 had no rear end thanks to the M3, other VX minor damage.

Further down was the Carerra RSR all stoved in, the Ring taxi came up on the green M3 and 'Vette just behind it, nerfed the M3 and caught the 'Vette before stoving itself into the barrier, it was on fire when we came running up. An E30 was in the mix too, but minor rear damage.

There's a vid on PH at the mo of a car who arrived at the scene full speed after initital crash but before the taxi arrives

He lucky makes it thru the carnage. Think u can see as he was going thru another car arriving doesnt quite stop in time!

It's a public road. How can they do construction on the road without sufficient warning way before the work area. That is prosecutable in my book!

Yeah, gives a good insight into it. You see the Ring taxi come in and stuff the M3/Vette and the wheel on the floor.
Sideways yo!

Shouldn't speculate as we dont know anything about the financial situation of the Nurburgring.    But It seems to me they built a white Elephant ( the new complex  ) and this massive debt has put them under so much pressure to milk the cash cow.   extracting every penny they can from it.
The manager of the place needs sacking and prosecuting for this mess, and i hope it changes the way it is run going forward.  :happy2:

Surprised there weren't more crashes if those 2 yellow flags was all that warned the drivers of the big thing on left hand side of road! Horrified really

:surprised: Holy sh!t, I was actually really looking forward to going to the ring next year albeit nervous as it would be my 1st time. But now seeing them vids and pics and its sort of brought me back to earth a bit.

I really can't understand why there was no warning at least 2 corners previous and have with speed limit signs dropping you down and distance warnings before that. Alot of them cars were lucky to dodge that that could've been a million times worse
