iPhone 4S Announced

Due to the errors on the systems, i had 6x iPhone 4S 16gb phones ordered earlier. Finally managed to cancel all of them except the one i got the confirmation email for now.

I had the same thing deako but just found out three phones have been paid for and are going to be shipped. I've managed to speak to some people and going to offload the other two. But I only got one confirmation email. I hope three turn up now!!

You havent paid for anything yet. There is just a reservation on the funds. The ones that are cancelled will never be processed.

I worked out that buying the 4s outright will be more expensive than contract over 24 months with 100mins/100 texts, based on iPhone 4.

Think I'll wait for a contract deal.

I did calculations on an 18 month contract and for me, buying outright works out cheaper; (I've assumed the prices remain the same as the 4)

Apple and GifGaf sim only = £680
Tesco deal =£785
O2 =£910
Voda = £907

That is for the 16gb version with similar tariffs

If you adjust the 18-month contract, it would be more expensive over a 24-month period (ie (£/18)*24) than a 24-month contract but I used a 32GB iPhone 4 as mine.

I will never get tied in to another 24 months contract again. Mine doesnt even expire till Jun 2012. SIM free, sell when new phone released is the best way to go.

Going to move to giffgaff or Three once it expires on a rolling contract/payg.

What makes you think that Jay? For starters, it clearly states that its limited to 2x phones per customer.

I did it over a 3g connection in a car park on the way into work. I didn't know if id have zero ordered or 5 lol! i pressed confirm a few times on a few devices but didn't have any confirmation on any. well pissed off. then i checked my orders, 3 showed up then someone from apple called me. They were cool about it due to what when on with no confirmation.

apple called because of a random fraud check, the nice american lady was nice though! ;)

Ahh, when you said offload the others, i thought you meant cancel them. You'll make a killing to be honest, now that the shipping times for the whole of Europe have slipped to 1-2 weeks.
