Total = £10,047.51 per year based on what the price was off the fuel today and the current MPG of the Polo.

This was over £6k of tax

Thats just incredible - how many miles do you cover per year? With that amount of money you would expect to travel the globe!

My i10 is £741 fuel bill a year. Around £339 in tax. 6000 miles a year

My Ed30 is less at £721 a year, around the same in tax.3000 miles a year.

About £4,700 add tax that you pay anyway in yor pay packet and that is fuel at £770 and taxes of £7000......................
