Inchcape VW - Chelmsford
« on: August 25, 2010, 09:22:29 pm »
Had a few bits of work done at this dealership, including cam belt & water pump and some extra jobs which I had asked them to do (fit MFSW, Cruise Control)

Cannot fault them, great service, washed and vacuumed the car too :)

Recommended.

I used to live in Wickford so Chelmsford was my local dealer back then.

They always did what they could to help me and the parts guy was in ClubGTI so there was no strange looks when you asked for something unusual.

Even after I had moved to Suffolk, I broke down in Colchester on my way to Wickford, Water temp through the red, took the car to them and they said it needed a new pump but they didn't have a loan car available, after a sad face and some 'oh, how will I get home' they gave me a new car for the weekend

Great service

 Mk6 R :)

I had the same done the other week and couldn't fault them... apart from the report I got back saying brakes are getting low etc, which they are.

I got a price off them for the Cruise Control that I'm getting fitted soon. Out of curiosity how much was the MFSW fit?? When I asked about the it the chap I asked didn't know the cost and what was required

I have always had my Golf serviced there.  Cannot fault them car is always ready when they say it will be and I always ask for car not to be washed which they have complied with.

My mum used them for servicing for 10 years and always been top notch for her to

Its a shame there sales team are not as good, as I know a few people who have been put off from buying there including me.

Hi, that sounds good, just need to save up for the bits... Mine is a manual so will probably need to source a control module... I've got a few other bits sort first but will PM you nearer the time (hopefully I'll have access to the PM's by then, lol).

I've always found Inchcape fine. A big dealership, so their customer service is pretty good.

Still a stealership though! Better off going to a good Indy I always say :)
