When is the dyno run then, John?

When was the stage 2 code released? IIRC Ryan said that Revo were holding back on the release until VAG had sorted out all the misfire's were sorted...

Dyno set-up and run is tomorrow after the brakes are on.

Don't know when the stage 2 was released, but Steve  Jr popped it on this afternoon and it is quite a bit gruntier than stage 1. The new 1.4TSi engines have the revised engine internals, so the issues should be resolved on them. I don't know what exactly has been changed, but my dealers assured me that they have been done.  :happy2:

Look forward to the results mate  :happy2:

Im looking forward to getting my exhaust and intercooler (imminently) then im having my map turned up to the full shebang.
When i drop the car bck at sharks late next week im going to get my car dyno'd with stock and forge intkes as im doubtful of its actual performance gains. 210hp/260lbft stock intake and 213hp/230lbft with the forge, id rather the extra torque tbh.

I reckon Hurdy and SteveP might be able to put a lot of hothatches/sporty cars to shame with these polos. Imagine the looks on their face when some chump gets overtaken by a Polo and can't keep up!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Well I fetched my brakes today and they are brand new TAROX B30 - 6pots. The first set in the UK

OEM brake disc, caliper and carrier weigh-in = 13.5kg

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm shiny new things  = 12.5kg, so bigger AND lighter = deep joy too.

Caliper comparison to OEM

Going on nicely.

Even got my hands dirty today!  :surprised:

The final money shots....

First impressions are excellent. The brake feel is superb and very progressive. There is more "feel" to the brakes and when used in anger are phenomenal at retarding speed. I'd even go as far as to say that they are better than the 10 pot TAROX's I had on the Golf - but the Golf is a heavier car. I can thoroughly recommend these if you have the money and there aren't many brake sets that look this good either.   :happy2:
Golf R gone.

Looks really good, Hurdy eventhough you slanter the 10 pots i bought from you  :P
Still awaiting adaptors to fit the S3 hubs, but are looking forward to getting them on the car
BTW your rims seems to have lost the writing on the side

Over the top mod list ;o)

No, you misunderstand, the 10 pots were still very good, but the 6 pots on the Polo are better because of how little the Polo weighs :happy2:

Yep, Blade (Ryan) bought the alloys as a special order from VWRacing and they have the writing deleted and they don't need spigot rings. :jumpmove:

I was blown away by how much difference the TD pro race 1.2 made compared to the 19" Audi splits due to the weightsaving, so i have just bought a second set for the Golf
The Audi splits are now renegaded to the Wifey's Touran

The brakes looks awesome. Not keen on the rimage though - thinks Steve's looks better with the Monzas.
