The worst thing is, and John will agree, thats not a quick time and tbh not reflective of what the car can actually do.  Theres alot more to come on these.

Cheers TC  :happy2:

Si is right though, if I can get a 13.6 on a dodgy track that isn't straight and ends up going uphill, a 13.9 is still wayyyy off target.....for now

That time still puts me as the fastest 6R polo though - even with the fluff  :driver:

Been a bit lax in keeping this thread up to date :ashamed:

Went to Elsecar mega meet and cleaned the car and then finished with the DA polisher followed by a good waxing and the result was this.....

Thanks to the guys who took these shots as I only had my crappy phone with me.

Also recently tried some VCDS setting alterations and ramped up all the settings on the map and WMI mix to try and get a decent run after altering the settings. Warmer weather and clean, dry roads after the rain along with a few hard previous runs to warm the tyres up resulted in the following (all done at the same spot as previous runs)

0-100mph in 11.8 seconds off a decent 5.1 to 60mph, so running the richer mix with setting C and setting off with traction control on in S mode seems to be the way to go for a 1/4 mile run and resulted in the following...........

Clearly a better top end power with a 107.2mph terminal, but still only a 13.5  *note to self - must try harder!*

as you can see by the G-Force, the pull is strong too!

These are the best runs and several were hampered with the dreaded DSG torque limiter  :fighting:, so still need that DSG remap sooner rather than later.

The good sign is that there were no faults came up on VCDS after the runs, the bad sign is that I appear to be running out of front tread on the tyres :driver:

Golf R gone.

Mr Proctor will be doing a full detail on mine soon, and will post the piccies afterwards.
You made the best choice going for the black rather than the R blue  :happy2:

Ooooh, I don't know about that, if I'd gone for .:R blue I'd have a Golf .:R instead of a Polo GTI   You can't spec the Polo in .:R Blue :sad1:
