Golf R?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Is it gonna take as long as TEFFs car?

The plan is to get it done before the end of the RWYB season and get it down for a sub 12 second run........that's the plan anyway :rolleye:

I guess the limits of the dsg mapping and heat build up problems and misfires on the 1.4tsi is the reason your jumping ship. Back to the awesome 2.0tfsi which it would seem you can throw anything at it and it just takes it

Not really. The DSG is limiting the power at the moment, but once there is a map out for it ( there is already two out) the car would be freed up to run more power and wouldn't produce any more heat with it as it is simply pulling back the timing now, but still producing the boost and hence the heat. I personally haven't had any misfires on my car and even before the Okada coilpacks and wmi I didn't have any misfires at stage 2 before the Loba was fitted. The fact I ran the car in as it should be and not how VW says it should be plus having the car mapped by Revo after running in is probably the main reason for this.

Once a DSG map is available this car will be low 13's on the strip without a doubt and circa 270-280bhp and 270-280lbft.

The car is being put back to stock and I've agreed a PX against a lovely low mileage Golf .:R 5dr DSG

Details and new thread to follow. :happy2:

*Now where's that parts list I made out for an .:R*
