The Federal 595RS-R's are on the car and are a positive benefit for grip and handling over the normal road tyres and relatively cheap at £110 a corner.

^^^
I can vouch for this having been given a hot lap of Strines in the Polo yesterday!

ps. Thanks again Hurdy for sorting that bit of coding out for me.  Great to meet you and loving the Polo.  Will be following this thread with interest from now on!   :happy2:

Did you every time yours when stock John? 18.9 secs seems a bit slow to me. Same with the VXR, I have seen acceleration tests which have been a lot quicker than that (6.8 and 16.9).

No, It was mapped on day 2 after I got it!

Just finished fitting this today. Took 20mins total to fit. Big thanks to Gulfstream . Bonus for anyone not wanting to screw it in is that you can order them with no holes. Also you can specify the letters. TDI, GTI etc.  :happy2:

Added some red tape behind the GTI to mine for added effect.

Mine with the Federals in place 0-60 in 5.0 and 0-100 in 12.9.............admittedly most of the others would be faster with extra money spent on them too.
A mapped Polo GTI definitely isn't boring

They aren't on about the power though, its the thoughts of the Polo in general comparatively.  If they thought the Polo was boring, imagine what they would have thought of the fabia

Obviously heavily modified isnt any comparison to the above reviews at all as its nothing like the stock car any more.

I wander though how a heavily modified Mini Cooper S JCW would compare to an equally modified GTI/vRS!!

Getting nervous now. :scared:

The car is booked in for this Thursday and neither the I/c, rad or turbo have turned up yet :surprised:

Pace say the i/c and rad are "in production" but haven't replied to a call for an update and the Loba turbo is on express delivery tomorrow!

Well the turbo is on and up and running.

Still running Revo stage 2 software at the moment and I believe with full mapping the turbo would free up more power.

I still think the DSG is restricting it in some way but the car is most definitely faster. 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds and the 100mph dash is now dispatched in 12.3 seconds. A quarter mile dash with a kink in it and the last stretch uphill ( as was the 0-100) is running at 13.6 at 104.7mph

Looking really good John, did the fitting go well then was it pretty straight forward? When you getting a tweaked custom map then?
