Decided today to buy some Okada plasma coil packs. Primarily a precautionary purchase as the 1.4 TSI engine is known for misfires, so these should help stop any that may occur. I've not suffered any to date, so these are a decent option to keep them at bay. I know some of the Vagoc crew rate them even though they are expensive. The theory is that the TSI injectors are very close to the plug in these engines and the misfires are due to the fuel overwhelming the plugs. This is why the shorter NGK plugs help and are recommended by Revo. A stronger spark will also help ensure a spark isn't overwhelmed and so no misfires. :happy2:

Bought some Okada plasma coilpacks last week.

What can I say apart from they do exactly what it says on the tin.

Fitted these today and my word they make a difference.

i. Smoother idle
ii. much perkier at the top of the rev range

Okada quote the following for these coilpacks....

i. Up to 6% more hp
ii. Up to 6% more torque
iii. Faster spool up/throttle response
iv. Reduced fuel consumption
v. Lower emissions
vi. smoother idle
Also in the 1.4TSI they help eliminate potential misfires too by giving a much stronger spark that simply cannot be overwhelmed by the injectors.

I fitted them myself in 15 mins and they just work!

I'll be swapping back to the stock coilpacks at some point for back to back dyno runs to see if they do give any extra oomph, but the car certainly feels better and it isn't just the "bum dyno"
They aren't cheap though, but for me they are worth every penny.

Glad to hear you've benefited.

I'm waitin on an upcoming b2b dyno session on the ko4 Tfsi but so far the only opinion I've had it car starts instantly when cold not much other difference felt (teff ko4)

I'm seriously considering them but want to see proven improvements and find out about reliability & warranty
