Also they had to fit inside my 17in track wheels, which amazingly these do, just.
My final consideration was the usage, I plan to do the ring trip, maximum twice a year, and no more than 4 track days a year to add to this. So for me all this considered, and with a lot of research i decided that i needed something a bit better than the R 32/ S3 set up, but not something as mad as some of the big kits on here.
These should be pretty capable after all they have come off a heavier car with 330 BHP as standard.
well chuffed you got these as its opened up the market for me. I couldn’t justify 1500+ for a bbk yet, but VFM wise I think this has to be one of the best kits available on the market, once I get the pads and discs it will only be a couple hundred more than a new S3 345mm setup.
So ive sorted myself out with set of these calipers/carriers/brakelines/dustshields. Jut need to save up and get some new 360x32 discs. Don’t think ill bother with the drilled hardcore discs though
Im presuming that with a disc this size the stopping power is going to be similar to that of a 4 pot with smaller discs. But for a lot less.
You have about the same amount of track time as me planned, With some track pads, good fluid, and braided lines I reckon these pads will be able to go for a good amount of time before we get fade.
Have you tried it on track yet TC
