FAO Greenouse/Michael Knight/The Hoff

Greenouse, here is the animation you wanted. Did it in a mixture of Apple Motion and Photoshop CS3. Apple Motion is similar to Adobe After Effects, if anyone is interested.

Sure can. Though it's more to do with After Effects/Apple Motion than Photoshop. I'll do one for After Effects as that is probably more popular than Apple Motion.

A quick explanation:
1) I created the red dot as a PSD file (transparent background)
2) animated it around the wheel using keyframes in Apple Motion, though you can do the same in ADobe After Effects.
3) I then exported the file to a Quicktime Mov file and then imported the Mov file into Photoshop CS3 as an animation (FILE-IMPORT) and then saved it as an animted GIF.

If you were doing it in Adobe After Effects you can export it as an animated GIF directly from After Effects.

I will do a write up with screen shots when I get a moment.

It is published by Adobe, the makers from Photoshop
