How easy is it to get the 4 digit security code for a mfd2.
Admin notice, sig pic removed for being to big.

I took mine to VW, they removed the MFD2, took the SN from it, then punched it into their system, which gave them the code.

No charge by the dealer.

So if I take the unit to a Vw dealer they can get me the code the same day then?

Did it there and then for me, all it  involved was removing the radio from the dash to get the SN from the unit.

If you already have the details from the label on the unit, you could try and take that to save time. I'd take a pic of the label and shown them that.

Worth a go.
