We're not. I rang my old supplier for a chat about something else and they were still what I was paying for them years ago. Mountune are getting subsidised parts, but they're still not the kind of money being quoted around here.

I'm in no way qualified to comment on Alcon's business, but speaking to my contact, they didn't seem to know about it - doing their usual hot cakes trade to the rally boys.

Word is AP are getting a lot of stuff in from China these days?

I'm not doubting that, I think some tuners are sticking a serious premium on stuff - the variation on prices of my kit when I was buying was £1750-£2300.

Always helps to get to know people and ask for discount too  :happy2:

There was a Vauxhall dealer called Thurlby who commissioned some diesel Astras to be built by 888 Racing and these had Alcon brakes. Owners were well chuffed until they wore out!

I think the discs and pads are a grand from EARS Motorsport and they're flogging off what they have left and plan to not deal with Alcon anymore, as Dave has stated earlier.

Shouldn't believe what you hear, Alcon been putting that out for years.

If chinas relocated to the south coast Mike then yes it's ALL from China.

I've heard of tectonic shift and it is 2012 the end of the world according to the Mayans but I think we would have noticed!
