iOS 5 Release Time

Rather sadly, I'm quite excited for this. Do you think it will be released at midnight? Or later on in the day?

(Scheduled release is October 12th)

You can already got the good master edition of it now without your Phone being a developer phone.

iOS 5 Official release will be available from 18:01 UK time 12 Oct.

Apple always release iOS updates at 10:01PST which currently (due to DST) is -8hrs GMT :happy2:

anyone succesfully downloaded this yet? im using beta 7 and it still says i have the latest version...ive un-installed itunes and re-installed the latest download from apple.com, has it worked for anyone else?

You cant migrate your accounts over from mobileme yet. I still get the error message that my account isnt eligible and only available for Devs.

For those who are running the GM of iOS 5 make sure you restore to the official release.

The GM has an expiry date of 30 Nov and after that you will start having problems.

iCloud is incorporated into 10.7.2 so you won't be able to move your MobileMe acct to iCloud unless you have a Dev acct like I do or you are running a beta version of 10.7.2

You will also get an iPhoto update for photo stream  :happy2:
