dump, diverter, re-circulation?

hi guys, can anyone give me some advice as to which one does what differently from the other, which is better and which have different effects? I've read up and still fin my self slightly puzzled?!

On a mk5 it makes no difference which on you use,

Basically a Dump valve releases the pressuried air after the turbo to atmosphere (straight out to the air) hence the hiss noise

Diverter and re-circultion are the same and the release the pressuried air after the turbo back into the intake side,

Both are designed to stop the turbo from stalling due to the pressure build up after the throttle body shuts.

They don't sound the best on the TFSI engine blow off valves. Get a CAI like the ITG Maxogen/Forge Twintake and the Forge diverter valve. I have this set up on my S3 and I love the chatter the intake makes when backing off the boost  :happy2:
