OS X 10.7.2, iCloud, Aperture 3 and iOS 5 released
« on: October 12, 2011, 07:56:33 pm »
As per title all have been released.

If you are running a GM/Beta of iOS 5 then you need to restore in iTunes and install the official version as iOS 5 GM expires 30 Nov after which you will start to have problems.

iCloud is now released and you can migrate your MobileMe account across. Here is how if you are unsure

http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=17330

If you are running a GM/Beta of 10.7.2 then you need to use the reversioner that came with your version to go back to 10.7.1 before updating.

Aperture 3 update is only available once you have gone to 10.7.2

Too tired now, going to have a play tommorow after work.  Although hopefully my 4 will be sold sooner rather than later

Cheers Carl  :happy2:

Christ, what next?! Apple employee scratches his own arse?

I've got to ask Carl, why do you insist on posting every single tiny bit of Apple news? And before you say I don't have to read it, a thread already exists about iOS5. Any other thread duplications would be deleted...

Is anyone else having issues updating? I've had an error message twice, my friend has also had the same message (different comps).

Help please  :signLOL:

Andrew,

What is your problem? Are you on Japanese Flag week or something :stupid: As you said you don't have to read it!

I post up about updates and that's it. Hardly every single bit of Apple news is it. Nothing like over exaggerating eh!

The reason I posted this thread was to alert people to the updates AND make them aware if they are running Betas (as I know a few are) that they need to go to the official release otherwise they will have problems after the expiry date. Which I'm sure a few on here didn't know. I also posted in the iOS release time thread but as with anything information can easily get lost in a thread so I put all the relevant information in one post.

I didn't know, nor can I find it in the rules anywhere, that I'm not allowed to post about Apple updates in the Random Chat section.

Just because YOU don't find it useful others might. I never saw you complain when I used to post up RNS510 firmware updates.

If it really bothers you that much I suggest you do two things, ignore my posts and find something to fulfill your life as you obviously have nothing better to do if your worried about this.  :P

Careful,

Andrew will be asking why you want help with Apple stuff as its not GTi related

The problem will be the servers timing out. Or are you having problems applying the update to the iPhone?

The problem is applying the update to the phone. I've just read on Twitter that turning the phone on and off solves it. I'll try this after the third try.

OK so Error 3200 is a big issue now, Apple can't handle all the requests.
