Hey, ill keep my eyes open whilst im on the lookout if u like mate, im after a 3dr anyway and slightly newer, I'd say 10k would be a good benchmark, just need to be patient...

as i'm looking for one with max of 50k, and around 4 years old, need to consider extra cost of cambelt etc.

i've seen one on autotrader but nearer £12k, but it's on the other side of england to me ;-(

if i can pick up that spec for £10k, that would be ace

You can defo pick one up for less than £12k if you are patient! Ive got one waiting at the dealers on a 56 plate with 19k miles for £12600! Not quite that spec but still!

on the cooming soon list at vw.co.uk is a 5dr, black, dsg, 55 plate, 34k miles for £11889, im sure u could get them down a bit, seems reasonable for a dealer. I'd be tempted myself but am really lookinf for manual, 3dr. Cheltenham VW is the location.

2005 (55) MY 06....Tornado red, 3 door, leather, DSG, Satnav, cruise, highline, lux, winter, 35,000 miles, sunroof, pescaras, milltek, colour coded, full VW service history........I think I have just about every option on my car, I was not considering selling really but may actually test the water and if someone comes along willing to pay a decent price might go for it...

however, wtf would i replace it with,...maybe I will go small and new for a while, save some dosh and then get the 996 I have been hankering over since I was about 17.
